Jason Giambi and Gary Sheffield Lead the All-Steroid Team
By: Bud Selig

In an upcoming book called "Game of Shadows," which reveals drug-use in baseball, Gary Sheffield becomes the second New York Yankee to be accused of taking steroids. He joins Jason Giambi and Barry Bonds to headline a very good all-steroids team.
It seems as in order to be a New York Yankee the player must be willing to cheat the game. Jason Giambi was caught taking steroids two years ago. Then, Alex Rodriguez blatantly cheated in front of millions by trying to slap the ball away from a tag. And now, Gary Sheffield has been accused for taking steroids, once again.
Just imagine the scenario of Jason Giambi and Gary Sheffield being in a Yankee Clubhouse. Jason Giambi is bent over and Gary Sheffield is injecting the needle into Giambi's buttocks. Once he was done giving Giambi his 500th steroid use, Sheffield is whining "my turn!"
Sheffield has admitted that he used a cream two years ago but said he did not know it contained illegal steroids. However, the authors of the book, "Game of Shadows," say Bonds' trainer, Greg Anderson, injected Sheffield with testosterone and a human growth hormone in 2002. They also added on to say Anderson sold him designer steroids known as the "cream" and the "clear."
The reason for Gary Sheffield taking steroids was ironically enough to keep up with his former good friend, Barry Bonds. Sheffield adopted Bonds' heavy training program when he visited the San Francisco star after the 2001 season. However, the two had a personal falling out. Reportedly, Sheffield wanted to maintain a relationship with Anderson so he could keep receiving the drugs.
Obviously Gary Sheffield is not the first New York Yankee to be accused of taking steroids. Giambi apparently developed a relationship with Anderson during a baseball exhibition trip to Japan in 2002. Reports say Giambi wanted to learn how Anderson kept Bonds playing at such a high level. Giambi wanted Anderson to help him perform better on the biggest city and team in baseball, the New York Yankees. He later flew to the San Francisco bay area and met Anderson at a gym. The two then went to the hospital to have Giambi's blood drawn so they could take a blood and urine sample to BALCO.
Steroid speculation has been one of the most debatable and controversial topics in baseball for the past decade. Critics believed steroid use was going crazy throughout Major League Baseball, with many athletes using them for an advantage. So MLB finally struck back. Commissioner Bud Selig and his department have just concluded a year long investigation on the steroid allegations.
Barry Bonds, Rafael Palmiero, Gary Sheffield, and Jason Giambi bought all the lawyers they could buy, but nothing saved them and the end was inevitable. Commissioner Selig said "too much evidence adds up." Bonds and his steroid using gang were caught red handed. Because of the investigation, the MLB released and announced the first annual 2006 All-Steroids team. These men will participate and play for team U.S.A in the next World Baseball Classic and hopefully cheat their ways to victory.
