Artist: Moe.
Album: Dither
A song about 5 a.m. cab rides, Manhattan beauties, and the subway; it's the song we will all be singing in ten years. Moe.'s playful sound frames the city as what it is and always should be.
"All Along the Watchtower"
Artist: Dave Matthews Band
Album: LiveTrax Vol.11 - Saratoga Springs, NY, August 29, 2000
Dylan turned this song into something new every time he performed it, Hendrix electrified it, but Dave manages to mix a little of everything into this track. What Hendrix did with the guitar is what Boyd Tinsley does with the violin in this song. From the soft opening to the angry finish, Dave Matthews Band brings it all to Saratoga.
"Better Than"
Artist: John Butler Trio
Album: Grand National
JBT takes the saying 'The grass is always greener on the other side' and tells you to forget about it. This song is a great pick-me-up for when you feel that nothing is going your way. "Better Than" is a relaxing song about forgetting the bad and enjoying the ride.
"Margaritaville"
Artist: Jimmy Buffett
Album: Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes
A perfect song for this time of year. As the temperature drops, the leaves change, and midterms are around the corner, there is no better song to reminisce about the carefree time of a vacation in paradise.
"Werewolves in London"
Artist: Warren Zevon
Album: Excitable Boy
Sometimes all I need is a song that makes no sense. Zevon's famous "a-hoo!" along with lines such as "I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's" make this song a great pick to listen to after a painful day of classes.
