We pulled our protective hoodies over our heads, grabbed the umbrella to shield us from the predicted downpour, and walked across the wet pavement of the MC campus until we reached our destination: the second-floor Chrysostom lounge. This was unlike any other movie night. This particular night happened to have been the season five premier of The Office. The second coming of Christ could not distract Dunder Mifflin fanatics from the television set. Fortunately, the show's much anticipated arrival was well worth the wait, but let's back-track first.

Fans were left hanging at the end of season four thanks to the clever screenwriter, BJ Novak. The final episode of the previous season entitled "Toby's Last Day" ended somewhat on a heartrending note. The monotone, dejected, and divorced' HR representative Toby was leaving his career at Dunder Mifflin, much to Michael's "dismay". "Today is Toby Flenderson's last day," noted Michael Scott, "I couldn't sleep last night. I came in extra early, so much energy. There's certain days that you know you will remember for the rest of your life. And I just have a feeling that today is one of those days." Well, not everyone at Dunder Mifflin was sad to see him go.

Like always, the party planning committee of the kind hearted Phyllis and the insanely uptight Angela prepared for Toby's departure, this time with a little help from Michael. Rather than the customary cake and finger food served at any Dunder Mifflin extravaganza, a carnival inclusive of rides, food, and even fireworks was the only way to send Toby onto the next phase of his life: Costa Rica. In addition, it was the perfect atmosphere for Jim to propose to the office secretary, Pam before she leaves for art school at Pratt, which is three hours from the Scranton branch.

Not only were Jim and Pam overly in love, but Michael seemed to have quickly fallen for the new HR representative Holly who would be taking Toby's place. He wasn't the only one. Kevin, who Holly thinks is "mentally disabled", seemed to have his eye on her as well. God forbid Andy was left out of the loop; his love for Angela had taken over. Just when the girls who are madly in love with Jim saw good 'ol Halpert reaching for a wedding ring in his pocket, Andy had to steal the thunder and propose to Angela, only to hear the response "Ok."
