Brace Yourself: It's the Spring Semester at MC

As the new spring semester gets under way students will have to begin going to class again and kick their old vacation habits to the curb. However, the student government and social life board at Manhattan College, like usual, has scheduled many activities and events to help students tolerate the semester's endless stream of papers, tests, and lectures and give them a little fun.
Social Life has been working hard to bring back the favorite spring events of Manhattan College. The very popular, Spring Fest will take place on May 7th with special guest, George Clinton. The Spring Fling, a formal dance brought to the Manhattan College student body by the underclassmen, will return this spring as well.
Along with the old traditions of Manhattan College, some new traditions will also be forged this semester. Conti informs, "A thing which the underclassmen are bringing back is the "Battle of the Bands" which will be a nice addition to the Spring Semester". Along with "Battle of the Bands", Student Government is hoping to have students' bands play twice a month where students can come to see them play and relax. The committee is also organizing a New York City Scavanger Hunt, an excellent activity that boasts Manhattan ideal New York City locale. Finally, Conti revealed, "There will be a huge move in the Jasperfit program where we are going to have a BIGGEST LOSER kind of thin
With the warm weather creeping up on us, the Social Life committee has organized some exciting and interesting activities. If you are a Manhattan College student interested in attending any of these events call the Student Government Office, extension 7358. The following are tentative dates of approved events and activities at Manhattan College. Please note that these dates are tentative and subject to change.

9th- Nets Vs. Lakers Game
11th- MOC: Pooh Valentines/LPS
12th- Our Name is Mud
15th- Dave and Busters
24th- Knicks Game

1st- Eagles Concert
8th-9th- Standing Together Retreat
