American Museum of Natural History boasts new exhibit

One of the best attributes of Manhattan College is its New York City location. At Manhattan College, New York City is your playground; your options are endless, and boredom is out of the question. New York is known for its diversity and the myriad of cultural activities it has to offer, and the magnificent American Museum of Natural History has helped this great city obtain its impressive reputation.
The American Museum of Natural History opened a new exhibit of photographs on January 29th boasting Bolivia's gorgeous countryside and landscape entitled, Exploring Bolivia's Biodiversity. This new exhibition allows tourists and New Yorkers alike to step away from the hectic, bustle of city life and immerse themselves into the serene and tranquil beauty and history of Bolivia.
Bolivia is an incredibly gorgeous land with diverse landscapes and a rich culture. It is a nation begging to be captured on film. The exhibition features beautiful photographs of many acclaimed Bolivian photographers-among them is the work of Hermes Justiniano, Willy Kenning, and Peter McFarren. The photographers brilliantly capture the beauty of Bolivia's astounding waterfalls to its breathtaking Chiquitano orchids. The exhibit takes the history of Bolivia and transforms it into an illustrious and fascinating presentation.
The American Museum of Natural History has been described as "one of the worlds preeminent scientific, educational, and cultural institutions." It was founded in 1869 to help people understand different cultures and the natural world through fascinating exhibitions and research. It is one of the largest natural history libraries on the western hemisphere and has forty-five exhibit halls and research laboratories. It is also one of the most popular destinations for American tourists and was rated number one in New York City in the U.S. Family Travel Guide. Walking through the museum is a cultural experience in itself as its patrons include people from all over world who share different cultures and customs.
The American Museum of Natural History is a cultural landmark in American history and culture. Its newest exhibit, Exploring Bolivia's Biodiversity remains true to the museum's ideals as it informs visitors of the Bolivia's natural history through dazzling photographs. The exhibit will be on display at the Center for Biodiversity and Conservation until August 7, 2005, and admission to the museum is $10 for students.
