You have been living in New York City for how long now and do not yet have a hairdresser to call your own? For shame! It is just not right to bounce around from hairdresser to hairdresser, not knowing what you are getting yourself into each time. Because, when it comes right down to it, the search for the perfect hairdresser is just like the search for the perfect relationship. You would never settle on a boyfriend or girlfriend who is unreliable and does not meet your high expectations; why should a hairdresser be any different? Also, if someone told you that they had found your soul mate, you would never pass them up on their offer to introduce you. Allow me to introduce you to your hair's soul mate...
I begin with a personal hair-raising experience. After having my hair butchered in a Bronx hair salon that shall remain nameless, I was left with a quasi-mullet that was seemingly beyond repair. I sought out a stylist who could make the most out of the mess that remained atop my head and stumbled upon a goldmine. Robert Lopez, the owner and sole manager of Williamsburg Hair Salon, turned that same mess into a chic, city cut that got me enough compliments to fill his salon.
I know what you're thinking: a cut that fantastic must be out of my budget. That could not be farther from the truth-you don't have to pay Manhattan prices for Manhattan style. Haircuts start at only $17-a price that practically anyone can afford. Though he is now located in Brooklyn, Robert has worked as a stylist in Manhattan and now another borough benefits from having him.
Every aspect of this salon in trendy Williamsburg is nothing but welcoming. Robert himself is personable and entertaining. He wears a handle-bar mustache that any other man would have trouble pulling off, but Robert wears it with pride. And believe me, this pride transfers into his work. The walls of the location are adorned with flags and prints of masterpieces that convey Robert's Spanish heritage; however, he also wishes to have his customers feel welcome by hanging the flags of the different countries from which they originate. The ambiance of the salon makes every person that enters feel at home with couches to lounge on and Robert's two Daschund hounds, Nathan and Chocolate, with their tails wagging.
There is no reason not to give Robert a try, believe me-he is perfect for you! And while you are there, make sure to check out the wide array of hair products Robert has for sale, as well as a plethora of other necessities ranging from candy to umbrellas to du-rags. With a motto as direct as "Our haircuts will get you laid," how can you resist? To find out more about the salon, log on to WilliamsburgHair.com. As an unknown author once said, "life is an endless struggle full of frustrations and challenges, but eventually you'll find a hairstylist you like." Your search is over. Believe me, you have found your hair's perfect match.
