Whatever your bargain quest is, C+C is the place to look, however, nothing this good comes easily. The attempted categorization of the store is almost useless, so some patience, and some digging, is required; but dig and you shall find!
C+C has a small selection of shoes at a huge price reduction. Any designer, any style, any size, any color-but you will have to check back frequently. Since they do not have many shoes for sale at one time, the selection is constantly changing. This also means, if you see something you like, snag it! It could be gone tomorrow.
The bag selection is also small, but the collection of designers that are on display at such a price reduction is astounding. Coach, Burberry, Fendi-oh my! C+C has also been known to have the coveted Marc Jacobs Stella bag for sale at nearly 50% off-but believe me, that bag flies off the rack at lightning speed.
Though the handbags are what most customers flock to C+C for, many other fashion gems can be found here. Prepare to search through sweaters, blouses, tanks, pants, sweat suits, and more to your little heart's desire-but allow me to reiterate, you will be searching. It is worth it! The denim collection alone is worth the trip. C+C boasts the labels of Seven for all Mankind, Diesel, Earl Jeans, and plenty of other favorites, all at discounted prices!
The small location is jammed full of stock. It is sometimes difficult to search because there is a lack of space to begin with, and then when the customers start rolling in, there is hardly room to walk. However, all claustrophobic feelings aside, C+C is quite the fashion find.
While you're there, be sure to walk across the street and check out Posh BTQ. Though it is owned by the same people as C+C, it is a completely different shop. Posh carries more high end brands and styles, and the prestige of the stock of the store is intimated by the location itself. It is roomy and spacious, in order to make the customer feel as if they are shopping in a high end boutique on Madison Avenue. Though it is far from Madison, what is held inside could be found at expensive, Manhattan shops: Lacoste polo shirts, high-end designer jeans, and the pleasure of practically having your own personal shopper. Where the customer is left to her own devices in C+C, customer service is key in Posh. It is no wonder that people from all over New York travel for both the discounts and the service.
Sure, it is quite a trip from Manhattan College, considering the train does not stop nearby, but it is worth the trouble. Save yourself the trouble of looking up sample sales and hoping for invitations to exclusive VIP discount sales-take a cab, take the bus, find a buddy with a car-just get yourself to C+C.
