New York is the shopping mecca of the world, but that does not mean that there are not other great shops all over the world that need to be explored. What better chance to discover new "shopper-tunities" than Spring Break? So as you travel the globe, sure you can hit the beach, museums, or art galleries-but you have to leave time to hit some fantastic shops. Be sure to bring along an extra, empty suitcase so that you can tote your new things back home with you!

Flying south to Florida? Check out Collins Avenue in Miami Beach for the trendiest Floridian fashions for low prices. Though the avenue is chock-full of great little shops, Deco Denim stands out as one of the best. This store is best known for its denim selection, offering Levi's, Calvin Klein, Gucci, Christian Dior, and Skinner jeans, to name a few. They also have an assortment of stylish tops and shoes to keep you clad while on the beach and all through the summer. The prices range from $5 to $70 for tops and shoes and the denim brands are offered at discount prices.

If you are heading west to California for your vacation, Jet Rag is the most fabulously affordable vintage store you will ever see. This two-level boutique in Hollywood boasts a very large selection of good quality used clothing from every decade dating back to the 1940s. This store is extremely affordable, selling items as voguish and trendy as classic band shirts and cowboy boots. However, the prices drop radically every week with $1 Sunday sales in their parking lot. So if you have got a buck, you can vintage shop! Vintage shopping makes most people feel uneasy, since most do not have the patience to separate the junk from the gems, but cast all fears aside when entering Jet Rag. The clothes are separated by color, style, or material, making even the novice vintage shopper feel completely comfortable.

Even the Spring Break capital of the world, Cancun, has some incredible open-air markets that hold true eclectic, original fashions. When you are taking a break from the beach and the parties, check out Coral Negro, the least touristy of the plethora of souvenir shops in Cancun. Though this is still considered a souvenir shop, you can find some unique pieces to really make a fashion statement. The embroidered blouses that are a fundamental part of Mexican fashion are adorable when paired with jeans and flip-flops. While you are shopping in Coral Negro, you can have Henna tattoos put on and have your hair braided to come back to New York in true Spring Break fashion.
