On March 30th, Edu-tainment's Save a Life Tour arrived at Manhattan College, providing Manhattan College students with the chance to experience drunk driving and help improve students driving. In an effort to help students better understand the effects of alcohol, this tour travels across the country in its own truck, bringing state-of-the-art equipment to universities and educating students on the dangers of mixing alcohol and driving.

Touted as "the most sophisticated drunk driving simulator in the world," it provides realistic views of the road, and allows drivers to feel the impact of slowed reflexes. Even those watching can experience it, as the large screen monitors allow for audiences to see what the driver is going through.

According to the Journal of Studies on Alcohol, one-third of college age students have alcohol disorders, and as many as 2.1 million students between the ages of 18-24 drove under the influence of alcohol in 2001. In the State of New York, 529 of the 1,491 traffic deaths were alcohol related, comprising 35% of all traffic deaths, according to MADD.
