Back from Abroad: One Student Reflects

It's hard to describe an experience like the one I just had-full of adventure, exploration, and unique opportunities. I am lucky enough to have just returned from the most amazing three months of my life. It's not everyday you get to live in Dublin, Ireland!
For some, studying abroad can seem like a terrifying experience. To others it is just another stage in your life. For me, the decision to go abroad was easy. I knew I needed a change and I knew that studying in Europe was a "once in a lifetime" opportunity where I could live and learn about the Irish culture.
While over there, I had the opportunity to travel. For the most part, I stayed within Ireland, but did get to travel to Italy, Spain, and England. Within Ireland I was fortunate enough to see numerous sites. I traveled through Northern Ireland in Derry and Belfast.
When in Northern Ireland, I saw Giants Causeway which is known as one of the seven wonders of the world. I also traveled to the Aran Islands, Galway, Westport, Dingle, Kerry, Blarney, and so many other fabulous places within the country. The most amazing site I saw in Ireland was the Cliffs of Mohr. The cliffs are dangerous, yet beautiful landmarks that give you a chance to step back from everyday life and take in the experience of being, literally, on the edge of land.
There is so much culture and beauty that engulfs this country that it is simply too difficult to note just one piece of it. I would not trade this opportunity for anything. It was one of the most rewarding, life changing experiences that I have ever had!
